The Statistics for April, 2017
Off-season is in full swing, but, our market shows no sign of slowing down! YTD, our overall market is up well over $140 million in dollars spent. Even more impressive, there are still some 400 properties under contract (see link below), with most closing before what promises to be the start of a busy Summer season!
Aspen – The Aspen single-family home sector has been on fire! It is the sole reason for the huge dollar increase in sales YTD, 2017. The month of April alone had a whopping 9 sales with an average sold price of over $10 million. April was led by the sale of a spectacular Red Mountain home for $30 million!
Snowmass – Snowmass is ever so slightly behind last year’s numbers, but, like Aspen, had a strong April showing with a healthy increase in dollars spent on single-family homes. in fact, dollars spent on single-family homes are up 137% over April, 2016. We’re talking about a sale or two here, but, there are 10 Snowmass single-family under contract and closing in the near future, and those are potential game changer numbers!
Single-family home sales in both Aspen and Snowmass are leading the market in 2017. With over a $140 million increase in sales for Aspen single-family homes alone, it’s clear that the big money is back, and the confidence level in our market is high!
